Death of Ste[hen Allen
Stephen Alen passed away at 8:50 o'closk Monday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. H. Duncan, No. 420 South West street, after an illness extending over several months. Mr. Allen's illness dates from Thanksgicing day of last year, his death being de to a complication of diseases.
Mr. Allen was born may 19th, 1837, and was sixty-eight years of death. He was a notive of Bristol, England, and came to this country with hs parents when ten years of age, settling in Pleasant View, Schuyler county. He grew to manhood in that place and moved to Fulton county, living for a number of years om Astoria and later removing to Canton. For the past two years he has made his home n this city with his daughter, Mrs J. H. Duncan.
